The way to
Il Villino
(The little Villa)

There turn right and go to Volterra on the road S.S.68. 
Between km 43 and km 42 take the road to "Pontedera" on the right hand 
(before this corner you will see an open air restaurant on your right side).

This road is the "S.R.439dir"; go ahead until km 16.
Turn right into the country road to Palagione/Pignano.

The road passes along a farmhouse, then crosses a bridge and goes uphill afterwards. 
After some curves you will see another house with a wooden gate on the left side. 
Shortly after this, take the small road to the right, 
it has a red and white barrier which is always open.
There is also our sign "Il Villino"

The first property you will see is "Tre Querce".
Go ahead on the right side and after 150 m you arrive at "Il Villino".

If you come from the coast:

On the highway Via Aurelia (S.S.1) exit at San Pietro in Palazzi (which is part of Cecina) 
and from there follow the signs to Volterra.

Arrived at the ancient city walls of Volterra, turn right and leave the town area towards Firenze/Siena. 
Look out for the sign "Pontedera" on the left hand (between km 42 and km 43), 
turn left there and continue as above.

If you come from the Pisa Airport

Take the highway Pisa-Livorno-Florence in direction Florence. Exit at Ponsacco-Pontedera.

Take the road to Volterra. 
Later be careful to notice the sign where you have to turn left to Volterra, 
otherwise you will reach Saline di Volterra if you go straight ahead.

After having taken this left turn, go ahead until you reach the hotel/restaurant "Mulino d'Era".
After the hotel turn left (!) and pass the bridge.
Right after the bridge turn right again. This is the road S.R.439 dir.
Follow this road until km 16 and turn left towards Pignano/Palagione.

Continue as above.
