The farmhouse rises on the remains of an old watermill, and you can still see its rests.

The small lake in front of it shows the presence of a watermill that still works. Both the structures are the evidence of a series of watermills that, displaced along the river of the Docciola which flew down from the hill to the Era’s Valley.

Podere Torricella is 4,5 Km far from the town of Volterra, and it is possible to reach it driving through the Municipal road of S. Ottaviano, where you can see the most beautiful and interesting countryside  across the etruscan necropolis, entering from the etruscan Porta Diana.

Our farm has settled in a beautiful and central zone of the Tuscany and in a day it is possible to visit the most important cities of the region like for example Florence, Pisa, Siena, S. Gimignano, and the "Etruscan Coast" (Costa degli Etruschi).
