At only 3 km from the center of Volterra you will find Casa Mario in a quiet and panoramic position.

Close by there is a small pond  that belongs to an old portion of the Volterra hospital which had been abandoned many years ago.

For the guests there is a private parking lot insides the estates fenced area. 

You reach Casa Mario through few 100m of gravel road from the S.S.68 road that connects
Cecina (Mare) with Volterra and then Colle Val d'Elsa, San Gimignano, Siena and Florence.

In only 5 minutes by car you arrive at the splendid Etruscan town of Volterra where you find everything you need, 
from supermarkets to ristaurants, bars, a cinema and the public inhouse swimming pool with its fitness center.

In 30 minutes you arrive at San Gimignano with its famous medieval skyscrapers, 
in less than 45 minutes at the beaches of Cecina,
in little more than an hour in the city of Florence, 
and in less than an hour in the city of Siena, famous for its palio. 

If you arrive by airplane or train, you can rent a car from Mario at a very convenient price.
And if you want to make some excursions by bike, just ask Mario who will gladly give it to you for free.

The estate offers three apartments, two of which are on the first floor of the main building where also the owners live, a nice young couple who will help you to feel comfortable.

Apartment n.1 ("Gli Archi / The Arches") has one large  bedroom for 2 persons, a kitchen with dining area and a bathroom w. shower at the first floor of the main building.

On request there is an extra bed available for a child in the bedroom.

Apartment n.2 ("Famiglia / Family") has one bedroom with a kingsize doublebed and another bedroom with a double bed and can host 2-4 persons. The kitchen / dining area is very well equipped and has satellite tv, just like the other two flats.

La Casetta (apartment n. 3) has 2 double rooms and 2 bathrooms w. shower for 4 persons, whereof one is on the ground floor and one on the opper floor.

From the spacious kitchen with dining area you reach a private terrace with a shady roof in the style of the old Tuscan farmhouses. (see photo above). If you prefer more sun, then just a few steps to the right you reach the sunny country side with a marvellous panoramic view.

The flats are generally rented for entire weeks from Saturday to Saturday.
Prices and availability for other periods (at least 4 nights) on request.
Bed- and bathcloth, electricity, water, gas and weekly cleaning are included in the price.
